A view of haymeadows or wildflower meadows and a traditional stone barn in Wensleydale, Yorkshire Dales.
Inspiration
I was inspired by walking through traditional wildflower meadows between Hawes and Hardaw in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Hay meadows are an iconic feature of the English countryside. Muker in Swaledale is also a good place to see upland hay meadows. The lino print features meadow buttercup, red clover, ribwort plantain and grasses, Crested dog’s-tail and sweet vernal-grass.
